Both backheads need a little more detail adding. The T9 has a working regulator handle that projects through the hole at top centre. It will also have working fire hole doors. The O415 (Adams Radial Tank) is different in that it uses a poker burner boiler so the fire hole area is cut away for the burner to poke through. The slot to the left of that was to clear the inlet pipe to the clack valve, but the production version will have the rear of the boiler moved forward a little to clear the dummy backhead eliminating the need for the slot. The poker burner boilers will have the regulator below the footplate so the visible regulator handle at top is fixed in position – in this case it got bent forward in the trip by air from Shanghai to London! It also needs more pipework – in particular the large diameter pipe coming out of the bottom of the driver’s brake control as on the left of the T9. The T9 was driven from the left side, the O415 from the right.
